This report also includes our Professional Standards Division Accountability Report, which includes statistical information about complaints investigated by the LBPD Internal Affairs Section. “In 2025, we achieved remarkable progress in areas such as innovation, crime reduction, facility investments, and workforce expansion,” said Chief Wally Hebeish. “This year’s report demonstrates the unwavering dedication and hard work of our personnel and our commitment to enhancing public safety throughout our city.” Some notable 2025 accomplishments are as follows: - Reduction in shootings for the 4th year in a row - Zero officer-involved shootings - Over 187,000 calls for service with an average Priority 1 response time of 5.5 minutes - Over 4,000 felony arrests - Launch of the interactive Crime Dashboard, designed to provide the community with easy access to timely, accurate crime statistics and reporting data citywide. This dashboard enables residents to explore crime in their neighborhoods, reinforcing the LBPD's commitment to transparency and accountability. - The Recruitment Team achieved a historic milestone by recruiting over 100 applicants for Long Beach Police Academy Class 100, the largest academy class in the department's history. - Launch of the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) and a Drone Pilot Program to enhance the Department’s ability to maintain real-time situational awareness, improve officer response, and aid in de-escalation efforts.
