Happy spent a half-century, the majority of her life, confined in a zoo. These wild animals should be free in their natural habitat. While some zoos are phasing out their programs, my legislation, HR3456, would require all remaining zoo elephants to be moved to sanctuaries.

Last year, LCA exposed beagles used in toxicology tests at Nucro-Technics. The investigation exposed beagles living in small, barren cages; experiencing adverse reactions to test items, (collapsing, vomiting, and skin lumps); and beagles being rough handled during tests.
