The 23rd FIFA World Cup gets underway tonight...
Is now 60 years since England lifted the Jules Rimet Trophy and nearly 20 years since the 1966 squad would come to Moortown.
The squad repeated a golfing reunion each year, with Norman Hunter organising the 2007 version in Leeds.
They demanded no publicity, just a fun day together playing golf and they would stay in Harrogate with their wives.
In return for this favour, Hunter agreed to speak at the club's Annual Dinner.
(Standing) Sir Bobby Charlton, George Cohen, MGC captain David Sheret, Ray Wilson, Gordon Banks, Martin Peters, Nobby Stiles, Peter Bonetti
(Kneeling) Jack Charlton, Roger Hunt, Ian Callaghan and Norman Hunter
