7 years ago on this date, one of my closest friends died in his sleep from an overdose. He was 17. We were playing counter strike on discord like 2 hours before he died, discussing his next trip back to Chicago for spring break. At 2 am I got a call that he was gone. I didn’t believe it, I kept messaging him, nothing.
Every day I wonder what it would be like if he was still around. I know we would be working together, we always did. I always wonder what job he would have had, where he would have moved, what he would have become. I won’t ever know. I found a lot of success in my recent years, and one of the people I’d like to share it with most died before I found any of it, and it’s all thanks to drugs.
Every harm reduction video I drop is in your honor buddy.
Buy a test kit, stop mixing hard drugs that aren’t safe to mix, and do your due diligence every time you get high on anything. You think you’re invincible until it’s too late.
RIP Ashton, I strive to be as good a person as you were every day 🙏
