Flashback to 2016 and Longford's famous win over Down (AET) in Pairc Esler by 2-24 to 3-17 in All-Ireland Qualifier Round 1. This was only the 2nd time Longford beat Down in Championship, and on both occasions the team was trained by Denis Connerton (2002 & 2016).
Ahead of this weekends Tailteann Cup clash with Down at Pearse Park, here's a look back at 2002 All-Ireland Qualifier Round 1 when Longford beat Down by 1-16 to 0-14 in their first ever Championship meeting. Padraic Davis was captain and Paul Barden gave a MOTM performance.
