While the situation in metros is different, in most tier 3, 4 & 5 towns (bulk of India), where we work, multi-cultural & multi-language is not the issue. It is the gap between mother tongue and medium of instruction - English.
Private schools do what Govt schools have not been able to. Encouraging them and improving Govt schools - both are needed. We need more good schools, not shackle the existing good ones. amp.economist.com/leaders/20…
