Anyone with a velux / roof light is advised to put something on the outside. Foil emergency blankets, a sheet, car windscreen covers - anything goes that is light and stops the light getting through. Also put internal blinds down if you can.

Interesting to see numbers put to the cost impact of net zero standards. In the context of the "Manchester standard" being considered, build costs are estimated to increase by between 4 and 30%. This is the scope of investment we need to be making to meet our climate obligations.
