Sgt. DeStefano represented us on Saturday at the Law Enforcement Torch Run in Johnsburg that supported @SO_Illinois. He carried the Flame of Hope, which is heading to this weekendโs Summer Games in Bloomington-Normal where Special Olympics athletes will compete in seven sports.

Our time capsule was sealed today and placed in the historical exhibit case in the Police HQ lobby. It contains many items that reflect today's police work and village operations in 2026. The capsule will be opened in January 2051. #FrozenInTime #MessageToTheFuture #TimeCapsule

The investigation into a bomb threat at Costco on Randall Road in Lake in the Hills has concluded. There is no longer a threat. No injuries have been reported.

At about 3:30 pm, police responded to a bomb threat at Costco on Randall. The building was evacuated and officers secured the area. Kane County Sheriffโs Office responded with its bomb squad. A property search is being conducted. No injuries reported. Continue to avoid the area.
