Great first half. Scotland and Haiti are both quite happy to get the ball out wide and run. It's like watching 90s soccer. Lots of shots, last ditch tackles, etc. Two teams playing 4-4-2 and going for it. Love to see that.

It's crazy that a World Cup match is taking place literally 45 minutes from my house.

The Trump Administration is more hostile to our allies than to our adversaries. And that is not hyperbole. If you were pushing "digital freedom" you'd start with a repressive, totalitarian country like China or North Korea, right? No. Trump's admin is starting with the UK.
The State Dept’s “office of Digitial Freedom” is starting with… the UK? How about, I dunno, China? Iran? Russia? North Korea? The priorities here are baffling.

Fundamentally, the Trump administration would rather bully our friends and allies in order to look tough for the MAGA base, rather than do the difficult/necessary work of challenging our adversaries like China, Russia, etc.

I hate Elon but it's got nothing to do with his money. He deserves credit for his successes in business. And I wish people would understand that one guy having a bunch of money does not prevent you from having money. There is no fixed pie of wealth.

Anyway as an Italian American I will be boycotting this World Cup until the qualification process is no longer RIGGED against us. #MakeGliAzzurriGreatAgain 3 World Cup qualifications IN A ROW STOLEN by the radical UEFA qualification stages. That's 12 YEARS without an appearance in the World Cup. Unacceptable! @GiorgiaMeloni WHERE ARE THE INDICTMENTS? START ARRESTING PEOPLE. 🇮🇹🚫⚽️🗺️🏆

So the geniuses in charge of transit in Massachusetts decided to make it so that folks going to the World Cup games at Gillette Stadium (I'm not calling it Boston stadium, piss off) can only get on the train from South Station in the city. So if you're coming from somewhere else, you can't get on the train to the stadium unless you go to South Station first. That is hilariously stupid and I'm not even one of the people going!

At the end of the day, people like Polimath—who Damin is referring to here—are just dishonest, partisan hacks. Being partisan isn't necessarily a bad thing on its own, but being dishonest definitely is.
One thing at the core of EVERY proponent of California election fraud claims is that they lie or they pass along lies by other people without verification. Raman won her district. PoliMath had no data for this or any of his claims, which leads one to conclude that he lied himself or he passed along the lies of others without verification. Am I generalizing? Not really. It’s lie after lie. “Pratt got zero votes in this drop” “Raman lost her own district” “Raman’s votes came from skid row” “Pratt votes are having their signatures challenged” Lie after lie after lie after lie, whether they’re the knowing proponents of the lies or they just pass along lies uncritically. They are beneath consideration. Never take them seriously again. They tell you lies.

Found another election dying conspiracy theorist you should unfollow, "gatorgar." Another easily debunked post. First, these ballots were not automatically rejected. There is a process by which a voter can rectify a signature verification issue, to ensure their vote is counted. So they have a chance to fix it. Second, at the time of "rejection", (ballot curing) the vote is unknown, because the ballot is sealed. The workers who verify signatures on ballots do *not* have the ability to see who the voter cast their vote for. Therefore, how could anyone possibly come up with this figure of 18,000 rejected votes for Pratt? It's a complete fabrication. Third, the numbers here are wrong in the first place, as shown by the reply to this from the LA County Registrar account.
So like if it was 20 votes, I’d understand. There’s going to be a reasonable margin of error. But it’s 18,000 votes, all for Spencer Pratt that have been rejected. That’s not an accident. It’s treason. Committed by the people who want to “defend democracy” whatever that means.

Matt Taibbi has gone down the election conspiracy rabbit role. Was only a matter of time, I suppose. Also, he lied about what Raman said on election night (proof in my replies)
Matt Taibbi's election denial arc is as pathetic as all his other arcs

Replying to @PostLeftWatch
And he’s doing it exactly the same way: cut and splice and lie. Here’s what he wrote Raman said; there’s what she actually said.

This is a horrible development and I hope it's not true.
🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 While the Trump administration - along with governments across Europe and the Middle East - is focused on the escalating crisis with Iran, the Israeli cabinet is expected to approve on Thursday a plan to fund the de facto establishment of 61 new settlements in the occupied West Bank, according to a draft government decision I obtained. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Why it matters: A source familiar with the proposal said the government is expected to allocate more than $350 million over several years to move 61 newly authorized settlements from paper to reality. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The plan would fund temporary residential compounds, public buildings and infrastructure even before formal planning procedures are completed, marking one of the most significant settlement expansion moves in decades. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The proposal is being championed by far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. The timing is significant: the government is seeking to approve the funding before a possible vote to dissolve the Knesset and trigger new elections - a scenario that could make large-scale budget allocations substantially more difficult. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Between the lines: Many of the settlements included in the proposal are located in strategically sensitive areas, including along Highway 90 in the Jordan Valley, in the South Hebron Hills, and in locations designed to create territorial continuity between existing settlements. Such a move further undermines the prospect of a future Palestinian state. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Rather than merely granting formal recognition to new settlements, the government would begin simultaneously funding housing, infrastructure and public services for dozens of communities - a move that could significantly reshape the map of the West Bank over the coming years. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 Zoom in: Under the plan, the government would finance temporary settlement sites that include mobile homes, public facilities, community infrastructure and support services. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The proposal would also fund development work for the permanent settlements expected to follow, including roads, utilities and other core infrastructure. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The significance of the proposal lies not only in the number of settlements involved, but also in the government's decision to begin physical implementation before completing the full statutory planning process. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The proposal follows a government decision approved last week that allocated roughly $35 million for planning and regulatory work related to the same settlements. The new proposal moves beyond planning and into implementation. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 In practice, it would allow the government to establish temporary settlement sites while planning procedures are still underway, creating facts on the ground that could later evolve into permanent settlements. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 The big picture: The move comes amid a broader effort by the Israeli government to strengthen its hold over Area C of the West Bank and accelerate settlement expansion. 🚨🇮🇱🇵🇸 It also follows a series of cabinet decisions over the past year authorizing dozens of new settlements, representing the largest wave of settlement approvals in years.

This is a disaster.
🚨🚨🚨Trump on Truth Social: The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

If I'm in charge of the Spurs I'm firing the coach tonight. Dont even let him get on the team plane. How do you let your team shoot 8 straight 3's when you're up by 25? Charles Barkley just said it on Inside the NBA - this was GIFT by the Spurs to the Knicks.

And then on the last possession for the Knicks, Wembenyama double teams Jalen Brunson instead of protecting the rim, which allows OG Anunoby a free lane to the basket for the putback. HOW DO YOU NOT DEFEND THE RIM IF YOU ARE 7 FT TALL

This did not age well
Knicks fans have a right to be mad about the refs tonight. They've been a joke. But the Spurs are playing well and they honestly deserve the big lead they have regardless of the refs.
