I apreciate the mature/optimistic approach to the matter ... like, this is all so very low stakes and people can just NOT be uptight and enjoy the sharing/reading/commenting for what it is. Feels like something important to clarify.
But I also think there's a "meta" level to all of this that wouldn't be present if
@TaylorNapolsky or
@theoooeooo had simply tweeted their ideas.
This was actually my first reaction to taylor's poem ... he kind of set a trap for the reader. There was no way to engage with his poem without basically folding and agreeing - in which case, is someone commenting the sort of customary "wow this is great" not just playing the exact game he's outlining and criticizing? And in the event someone were to "um, actually" the poem, they would just come across as ... fragile.
Then beyond that (I'm choosing my words carefully here), both of these poems are very *unconventional* (is it fair to say they could only exist in this online format?) and I don't quite know how that impacts the conversation.
