This week we welcomed back Sarah the Signwriter to paint the ECJS crests on 189. The original transfers we have are around 125 years old and very fragile. They tend to disintegrate during application. Sarah has skilfully painted the crests using an original one for reference.

First gangway now in place on 189 since around 1927 when it was withdrawn from service. Some adjusting and final fixing to do. On the interior work progressing well and is now starting to look really special.
The blind covers have had gold leaf applied and now refitted.

Great Northern Railway, invalid saloon built 1909 Doncaster No.3087 (Later 43087). Chargehand coach builder's name stamp above the bottom hinge on No.1 door pillar. Anyone have an E.Webb carriage builder from Doncaster in their family tree? @LNERCA
