REPORT: The Knicks hosted Duke guard Isaiah Evans today as part of a group workout for draft prospects, per @IanBegley.
Evans likely falls in the range of the Knicks’ 24th or 31st overall selections in next week’s NBA Draft.
I know Knicks just won a chip, and everyone is happy and celebrating, as we should. But my biggest question, one that has been haunting me since Saturday…
How do we repeat??? Greedy, I know. But I want another one.
Please, don’t ever compare Jalen Brunson to James Harden. One is a champion on every level and one of the most clutch players of all time.
The other is James Harden.
After @BeckyHammon said the Jalen Brunson wasn’t good enough to lead a team to championship, all Jalen Brunson could do was:
- Win the NBA CUP MVP
- Win the ECF MVP
- Lead NY to its first NBA title in 53 years AND win finals MVP
Becky with the greatest swing & miss of all time
Jalen Brunson winning a championship and the finals MVP behind another superlative regular szn will shift many things in the NBA
- The pg position is important again
- The smaller guard has hope again
- The Steph curry model is done. The Brunson paradigm is here
Jalen Brunson literally made the Becky Hammons and the Draymond Greens of the world look stupid with his play on the floor as a ‘1A’ player with a chip…then dismissed them with his words. Mission complete.
Wemby sticks is feet into Brunsons landing area, not even a foul. But Brunson got called a flagrant on champagie despite splitting his feet out to avoid contact
Look at how the Knicks sharpened up their 3pt defense in game 4, from the 1st half (14 3pts allowed) to the 2nd half (3 3pts allowed).
It also helped that Mitch Johnson could not coach up a different offense and Wemby’s poor playmaking showed up again.
Salute to the Knicks for increasing those chip shots on Wemby i. The 2nd half every times he rolled or aimlessly walked into the paint off the ball. Spirits of the 90s Knicks were in the garden in game 4.
