#ThrowbackThursday Did you know that we abolished fines in the library way back in 1952? Mind you, it does mean that at this time of the year we keenly try to get books back that have been out on loan for some time before the Summer holidays arrive…

It's #ThrowbackThursday and I am very glad that we no longer need to keep a hand-written log book - as are my colleagues considering my handwriting. But we have lost a lovely personalized way of recommending books like this from 1954
