FISA 702 is the authority for surveillance on foreign soil—the core of all US security. A libertarian demand to make SecWar get approval from liberal DC judges (the ones who targeted Trump) is madness. No conservative aim is ever served through subservience to leftist DC judges.
Community note
FISA 702 collects foreign communications abroad without warrants. Reform proposals would require warrants to query the database for US persons. The FISA Court has 11 judges from districts across the US, only 2 from DC.

Ohio has big cities, small towns, quiet roads, crowded festivals, lake days, river towns, and Friday night lights. Every place deserves a voice. Vote Ohio.
✅ HB645 Require the use of zero-based budgeting every ten years
The bill requires the state of Ohio to implement zero-based budgeting for the development of the state budget every ten years, starting with the general assembly convening in 2027. It mandates that the governor submit a budget based on zero-based budgeting principles and that state agencies prepare their budget estimates accordingly. The bill amends several sections of the Revised Code to incorporate these requirements.
Rationale
The bill introduces a structured budgeting approach which may align with the Libertarian emphasis on fiscal responsibility, but it also imposes additional government requirements that could be seen as increasing government control over budgeting processes. The LPO's score is higher due to its focus on state sovereignty and fiscal prudence, while the LP's score reflects concerns about government overreach.
Risks and Concerns
Increased government control over budgeting processes
Potential inefficiencies in implementation
Risk of bureaucratic expansion

Strong support for Rep. @mikedovilla’s HB 645 — zero-based budgeting is exactly what Ohio needs! Time to end the automatic spending ratchet, force every agency to justify every dollar, and deliver real fiscal accountability for Buckeye taxpayers. The names in green stood up for Ohio tax payers today, while the names in red…well, that’s about what we expect from the big government types.

Under FISA 702, the government collects massive amounts of data on Americans while “targeting” foreigners overseas.
They then unconstitutionally search that data without a warrant for info on Americans.
The “libertarian demand” he’s whining about is called the Fourth Amendment.

LPO needs energetic people to run for office! Libertarian elected officials get to make policy that reduces the scope of government and increases personal liberty.

Massive govt subsidies have distorted the solar and wind energy market since before Obama, and Ohioans can see solar and wind farms rotting in the fields when the free money ran out. And they don't just sit there. Heavy metals, paint flakes and oils soak into the soil and ruin them for agricultural use.
Stop printing inflation money, stop pouring inflation money on political friends and cronies, stop building solar, wind and data centers that lose money on day one.
When a rational market is allowed free people will make rational decisions.
When govt interferes people get pissed and fight back.
We don't support bans. We support the right of all Ohioans to fight back again crony politics however we must.
Ohio has blocked 5.3 gigawatts of solar and wind over the last 12 years. That's a lot of cheap, clean power we could be using right now. And HB 6 gutted energy efficiency requirements in 2020. Meanwhile, our electric bills keeps climbing. canarymedia.com/articles/cle…
❌ HB188 Create the Ohio Israel Trade and Innovation Partnership
The bill promotes government involvement in trade relations and economic partnerships, which conflicts with Libertarian principles of minimal government intervention in the economy. It establishes a state-funded partnership that may lead to cronyism and does not align with the LP's emphasis on free markets and individual autonomy.
Risks and Concerns
Increased government spending on international partnerships
Potential for cronyism and favoritism in trade relations
Expansion of government influence in private sector activities
