Dozens of sheriff deputies are searching for a wanted felon who escaped from the Department of Corrections. Sean Hanneman, 56, is wanted for a parole violation and escape and has violent tendencies. He’s known to carry large knives. Deputies are currently searching the area between E. Arapahoe Rd. and E. Dry Creek Rd. and S. University Blvd. and S. Colorado Blvd. Sandburg Elementary School has been placed on secure perimeter. A Code Red Alert, also known as a reverse 911, has been issued for residents in the area to shelter in place. If you see Hanneman, please call 911 immediately. @LPSK12
