Tonight was something I’ll never forget. Receiving the coveted Marty Rouse Award at the Yucaipa baseball banquet is truly one of the greatest honors of my life. Knowing what this award stands for and the legacy behind it makes it so much more meaningful. For the past 50 years, it has been given to a player who represents leadership, sportsmanship, dedication, competitiveness, and integrity — the same qualities Marty Rouse was known for before his passing in 1976. To even be mentioned alongside the players who have received this award before me is incredibly humbling. Baseball has given me so many memories, lessons, friendships, and opportunities throughout my time at Yucaipa High School. I’m thankful for every coach, teammate, teacher, friend, and family member who supported me along the way and helped shape me into the person and player I am today. Ending my senior year with this recognition means more to me than I can put into words. I’ll always be proud to be a part of Yucaipa baseball. 💙💛⚾️

Winning the County Clash game in the Stadium was a core team memory that I will keep with me forever. Went 3-4, got the out on a bunt play, caught the entire game that went into overtime and we pulled it off with a walk off. Relieved one inning last night vs La Quinta HS. 0H, 0BB, 1K. Last game of the fall/winter season, ending our preseason with 28 total innings pitched and just 2ER and an ERA of .500 overall 💪🏻 Starting on the mound next Tuesday in the season opener against Palm Desert. Let’s gooooo!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
