Huge congratulations to our Chess team!
Yesterday they faced a really tough side; Altringham Grammar (the regional winners for the past few years) & LRGS won 4-2.
Now they are Northwest Champions & they've made it through to the English Schools Chess Championship Finals.
@LRGSLancaster students have launched their own Model UN. Today they started to discuss US intervention in Venezuela, taking the positions of UNSC members. International law, multilateralism and sovereignty were all raised as issues. Students from years 7 to 12 were involved.
Ten of our @oldlancastrian graduates spanning from 1980 to the 2020s gathered at USRC in Kowloon on Tuesday 9 December.
A great night was had by all.
Wishing everyone Season's Greetings from Hong Kong!
It is a full circle moment when the children that visit us from primary school in Year 4/5 then appear years later in the classroom as InspirUs helpers in LRGS Sixth Form.

They had a meeting with retired Hight Court Judge, Bernard Barton at the Irish Supreme Court & visited the Wellington Memorial.

Excellent teaching, training and development and extracurricular opportunities have all led to D&T, PE and MFL being awarded the Prince's Teaching Institute Award.
Delighted to meet former MP Andrew Lewer, seen here in the Politics Room pointing to his old constituency.
"I have a particular regard for state schools with boarders having attended such a school myself. The staff & the Sixth Formers I met clearly love the school & rightly so."
Schools are made of stories as well as buildings.
Read Dr Pyle's latest blog post for a wonderful story from a former Headmaster's daughter about her life at LRGS.
