While we love every full Moon, thereβs a special place in our hearts for the Harvest Moon, which is the full Moon closest to the fall equinox. Many cultures have holidays connected to this Moon, including the mid-Autumn festival in some East Asian countries and Chuseok in Korea!
Okay. Hit me with your lunar questions. Use #Apollo50th to ask my scientists any Moon questions you have! And join @NASA live at 1 PM ET for go.nasa.gov/2LvYXYH
What a great day for moons! Congratulations to #Dragonfly, our next New Frontiers mission. We can't wait to see you soar to Saturn's moon Titan. go.nasa.gov/2ZSyKGY
Omg look how cute I was on my first day at the Moon 10 years ago #OTD! Iβve learned SO much since then. Here are 10 highlights Iβve learned about @NASAMoon in my 10 years (and counting) here. #LRO10thgo.nasa.gov/2Lg2xoT
Traveling back in time to 2009. The Black Eyed Peas were rocking the charts. Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th U.S. President. And there was so much we still didnβt know about the Moon. #LRO10th
Love hearing your memories of 2009!

Happy 10th Birthday @LRO_NASA! Thanks for all the awesome data that made my PhD possible all the amazing images and videos I use to inspire the next generation! #ToTheMoon
Happy 10th birthday to @LRO_NASA! When I went to see the launch 10 years ago I was a postdoc participating scientist, now I'm the Mini-RF DPI. Hard to believe it's been 10 years of Mini-RF radaring! We've learned a lot about the Moon and about radars during that time.
Happy 10th Anniversary @LRO_NASA! In ten years, our Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter has collected more data than all other NASA planetary missions combined and transformed our understanding of our Moon. go.nasa.gov/2MVpaSi#LRO10th
ππ΅ Happy birthday to meeee! π΅π
10 years ago, I launched from @NASAKennedy on a voyage to the Moon. It's been an amazing 10 years. I've orbited the Moon over 40,000 times and collected over a petabyte of data! go.nasa.gov/2WLPt1A#LRO10th
Itβs a BIG birthday for me. Tomorrow will be ten years since launch! I know. I don't look like it. Hereβs a picture of me when I was just a wee spacecraft. What were you up to ten years ago? #LRO10th
BIG NEWS GUYS. We just broke our own record for the closest a spacecraft has ever orbited a small planetary body π I'm now hanging out 2231 ft (680 m) above Bennu's surface.
