LSU BMLI is proud to host our 4th Annual “The Chop” in conjunction with our ELEVATE series. The Chop is a safe space where men of color can discuss their unique experiences as minorities. 25 spots are open for free haircuts. Attend to be part of the barbershop talk or get cut!

Today, I successfully passed my dissertation defense. I am now Dr. Soares, and I am still in awe. Thanks to my village for supporting me for the 1,553 days that have passed since I started the PhD journey. I have been though a lot since I started at LSU, but God has blessed me.
