Do you think any patrons would notice if I put two separate Chrome shortcuts on the lab desktops, grabbed an Internet Explorer icon from the web & made it an icon, then assigned the icon to one of the Chrome shortcuts?

Let’s cancel the idea that Serious, Realistic stories are the only kind of stories worth making. The soul is nourished by the magic of a Miyazaki film or a wonderful kid’s book. I want to gawk in wonder as I read or watch a thing; I want to ache with joy.

Something I should do more often: Choose my books the old-fashioned way. No reviews, no selection guides, no collection criteria, just book jackets and quick skims. Once upon a time, I learned to love reading, just that way.
I still do.

Are so many library staff pro-public-transportation, pro-bicycle-friendly-streets, and pro-safe-pedestrian-walkways because those are often our own transportation options, because libraries can't pay enough?

Just saw this. It's a big hint to use O*Net to describe past work using the magic words required by software gatekeepers. Programs scan for key terms & filter applications so the real people don't need to read them all... But software can be gamed. #librarylife #librarianproblems
