After 1 Day, my app got rejected from apple. They've tested it on an iPad and it crashed. I still don’t know why and how to fix it. But the second reason is, that there are to many of these kinds of app. But I could find many or even an app with the same thing. How can I continue?

Today is the day. It’s the first time I publish an app to the App Store. It was more effort than I thought. But after a few days of work I finally published it.

After many many months of coding, my app is finally finished for the App Store. Can’t wait for people to use it. But one downside. Can’t publish it for all, only for friends. The API costs are currently to expensive for many users. While my friends use the app, I will work on a better system for less api cost.

Mobile development is crazy. I've had a bug where when I logged into my app, I've got an out of NavigationContext bug. After 2 days of searching from where the bug comes from, I found it. It was a conditional CSS styling. WHY DOES MOBILE DEVELOPMENT HAS SOME CRAZY BUGS CAUSED BY STYLNG? This is the second time styling broke my app.

After 3 months, I think I'm kinda ready for beta testing. I have everything working and want to see it in action. What is the best way for beta testing? Do you publish it to the store and make it beta or do you build it on your machine and send the file to the tester? I've implemented a feedback-system into the app, so it’s easier to report bugs or general Feedback.

Didn’t know that AI could work that well in a big project. I was working on an explore page with a rail system like Netflix. Didn’t know how to start with it and asked AI to help me plan it. After a little bit of planning, I've started working on it. AI messed up a few things and it took a few prompts to prioritize Redis cache before API calls. But within 30 mins, I had a fully working explore page. Some code parts are more spaghetti than others, but that can be fixed later. Probably be able to release the beta app soon.

How do you guys code big projects with AI? I tried to create an endpoint where it first should check DB -> Redis -> external API. After I said that the DB has minimal data and it should prioritize Redis and external API, it only used the DB and Redis. The AI is constantly ignoring me, writing spaghetti code, creates the same function over and over again. How do you safe time with that?

Today I haven’t worked that much on the app. Still working on the backend. Trying to create an endpoint which includes fallback logic. But damn that’s kinda hard. Filtering after data you don’t have is tricky. Currently working on a good system for redis and how to crate good keys to filter easily. Does somebody know a pretty good way for it?

Took some time to work on the app without posting. Progress is pretty good right now. I would say the app is 70% done. But the last few steps take a long time. How do you guys continue to post on X, without revealing to much from your app?

Today was pretty good for me. I've worked on the app design the last few days and around 70% of it is now done. Probably need to change a few things when I connect it to the backed, but it’s looking pretty good right now. Can’t wait to send it out to the testers
Why is it so hard to design a Home Screen for an app. I'm working on it for 2 days, because I don’t know what I want on it and how it could look like

What are you using for react-native component styling? Are there any good libraries?

After I tried to copy a few things from the old version of my mobile app to the new one, I kinda fucked up everything. So for the last 2 hours I tried to fix everything. Mostly the styling broke. I don't know but to debug mobile styling errors you need more effort than on the web. Am I the only one who has this issue?

UPDATE Couples App: I made an endpoint coded by AI, because I didn’t know where to start. Everything works and I tested multiple scenarios. But I don't really like it that AI made the whole endpoint. The code is 50-70% but some parts are kinda spaghetti. Should I rewrite the endpoint or let it be?
Today was a very good day. I mostly finished the endpoint, that I was working on for a few days now. It's not 100% that's what I want, but the first version is good. Saved it and now fixing the last few bugs. Can't wait to implement it into the app and see it in action.
