Rui Hachimura is an upcoming free agent and the Lakers need to bring him back, no question. He gives them steady wing scoring when the offense gets stuck, can hit open shots, and doesn’t need the ball all the time to be effective. That’s perfect for how the Lakers are built. He also defends multiple positions and just plays simple, solid basketball that works in playoff games. He already proved he fits in LA. Just bring him back!!💜💛

I’d like to see the Lakers bring Marcus Smart back. He brings toughness, defense, leadership, and just that edge every team needs. He guards multiple positions, plays hard every possession, and does all the little things that don’t always show up on the stat sheet but matter in winning.

I’m going to do a poll. You’re the GM of the Lakers, which center do you want on the team?

Peyton Watson would be a really good fit on the Lakers next to Luka. He’s a versatile defensive wing who can guard multiple positions, runs the floor, and finishes in transition. Just a smart role player who can thrive off stars. Photo credits: @PurpGoldLakers

Luka Dončić gives the Lakers a chance to compete for a championship, but the front office has to stop stalling and start building the right team around him. For years, it feels like the Lakers have waited too long to address obvious roster needs. At some point, you have to stop hoping things work themselves out and actually make the moves that put your stars in the best position to succeed. Luka has already shown he can carry a team. We’ve seen him take teams on deep playoff runs and elevate the players around him. The Lakers need to focus on getting better talent around Luka that complements his game and helps maximize what he does best. The question isn’t whether Luka can lead a championship team. The question is whether the front office is willing to do what’s necessary to build one around him. The Lakers need more defensive-minded players, especially on the wing. They need guys who can guard multiple positions, make life easier on Luka defensively, and knock down open shots when the defense collapses. They also need a true rim-protecting center who can rebound, defend the paint, finish lobs, and anchor the defense. Not just another body at center, but someone who can make a real impact every night. The Western Conference isn’t getting any easier. Standing still while other teams improve isn’t a strategy. If the Lakers want to maximize Luka’s championship window, the front office needs to be aggressive, address the roster weaknesses, and stop waiting around. Give Luka the right defenders, athletic wings, and a high-level center, and the Lakers will absolutely have a chance to go all the way. The pieces are there. Now it’s on the front office to finish the job. 💜💛

I’d like to see the Lakers explore a trade for Kel’el Ware. At just 22 years old, Ware averaged 11.1 PPG, 9.0 RPG, and 1.1 BPG while shooting 53% from the field and nearly 40% from three in only 22 minutes per game. Imagine what he could do alongside Luka Dončić. A 7-footer who can rebound, protect the rim, run the floor, catch lobs, and stretch the floor is exactly the type of center this team needs. The Lakers have spent years searching for a long-term answer at center. Ware isn’t just a fit for today, he’s a fit for the future. If the front office is serious about maximizing Luka’s championship window, Kel’el Ware should be near the top of their trade target list. Would you trade for Kel’el Ware if you were the Lakers front office?

Really happy for the Knicks, but especially Jalen Brunson. Genuinely good guy and a hell of a player.
