Happy Flag Day! Lovely sound of rain in the mountains today.

Am a descendant of the Key family. Grew up best friends with a great-nephew to George. Happy #flagday Americans who don't know their family history, I encourage you to learn what you can. To my European cousins specifically, I'm heartened to see so many renewed perspectives of us Americans. We did what we did to start this country, which involved tensions between us. It's been rocky since. But now, unexpectedly we find ourselves back on common ground. Vigorously. Examine why.
Our 250th Birthday is right around the corner, share this and also POST ur OWN stories!! Let's get this party started!!đŸ„łđŸ«¶đŸ˜» Francis Scott Key was just a regular lawyer and part-time poet in 1814. He wasn’t even trying to write a national anthem
he was trying to get a friend out of a British prison ship, but what he witnessed that night changed everything!! Picture this, it’s the War of 1812 and the British have already burned Washington D.C. to the ground. Now they’re hammering Fort McHenry all night long with rockets and bombs. Key’s stuck on a ship, watching through the darkness, wondering if the American flag is still flying
or if we just lost everything. Then came the dawn
 🙏

It's such a timely breath of fresh air. It's Freddy, and many others. @CynicalPublius is being humble to say he thinks this is why. We all know why. And the reason it works is because we're distant cousins. As they say--a fisherman knows a fisherman from far away. The important thing to note is not why it works, but the sheer fact that it is working. Both sides are ripe for this connection. One could argue that any scenario with a welcomed guest could be delightful. In many cases I would agree. But specifically the Western Europeans that are co-mingling with middle America is a deeply welcomed connection at this time. It's almost as if to say potential backup has arrived and we have the chance to align.
Let me explain why I think Freddy resonates. Lots of Europeans visit the USA as tourists. They visit New York City, or Washington DC, or Hollywood, or Las Vegas, and if they visit natural beauty too, they go to really crowded places like the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone. So while they see our cultural and natural icons, they are mostly in blue cities and they therefore also see the decline, the homeless, the drugs, the dirt and the rude, rude Americans. But Freddy is not doing that. Freddy is driving, and he’s doing it through the heartland, where people are kind and polite, the skies are wide open, and the bounty of Buc-ees and Bass Pro Shops are overwhelming. Freddy is not seeing fentanyl and decline. He is seeing the real, hopeful, patriotic, kind America that European tourists rarely traverse. And he loves it. That’s why Freddy is a phenomenon.

American Giant. One of the best to have ever done it. Be Andrew Jackson >Born 1767. Carolina backcountry. Edge of civilization. >Father dies before you’re born. >Mother raises you alone. Hard woman. >American Revolution breaks out. You’re a teenager. >Age 13. British soldiers capture you. >Officer orders you to clean his boots. >You refuse. >He slashes your face and hand with a sword. >Scars never fade. >Thrown into prison. >Contract smallpox. >Nearly die. >Released in a prisoner exchange. >Return home broken and fevered. >Shortly after, your mother dies of cholera. >She was nursing American prisoners of war. >You are 14. >Completely orphaned. >Frontier life hardens you. >Study law. No schools. No polish. >Become a lawyer. Then a judge. >Honor culture. >Duel repeatedly. >One duel goes wrong. >Shot in the chest. >Bullet lodges inches from your heart. >Doctors cannot remove it. >You carry it for life. >Rise in Tennessee politics. >Become a general. >New Orleans. >British Empire returns. >Veterans of Europe. Best army in the world. >You have militia. Riflemen. Pirates. Farmers. >They expect a massacre. >You annihilate them. >Victory so decisive it shocks the world. >Become a national hero overnight. >Enter presidential politics. >Win the popular vote. >Lose in Congress. >“Corrupt bargain.” >You do not forget. >Run again. >You win. >First true populist president. >Enemies immediately: elites, editors, bankers. >They call you dangerous. >You agree. >Then comes the real war. >The Second Bank of the United States. >Private. Politically connected. Foreign investors. >Controls credit. Controls elections. Controls survival. >They call it stability. >You call it tyranny. >Bank president Nicholas Biddle believes you can be managed. >Congress renews the Bank’s charter early, to force your hand. >You veto it. >Publicly. >“The rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes.” >The bankers panic. >They unleash newspapers. >Contract credit. >Trigger economic pressure to break you. >You escalate. >Remove federal deposits. >Shift them to state banks. >The central bank begins to suffocate. >The Bank collapses. >No central bank. >No financial sovereign above the people. >The bankers want you dead. >January 30, 1835. >Capitol steps. >Assassin approaches. >Pulls a pistol. >Click. >Misfire. >Second pistol. >Click. >Another misfire. >You don’t flee. >You attack him with your cane. >Beat him until restrained. >Courts declare the assassin insane. >You are not convinced. >Leave office having paid off the national debt. >Only president ever to do it. >Die 1845. >Age 78. Leaves behind: The destruction of the central bank. The precedent that finance answers to sovereignty. The expansion of executive power. A nation reminded that elites are never permanent. Proof that an orphan from the American frontier can defy empires.

Last year I started writing a small, effect-typed language in Rust focused on safe, auditable automation (especially for AI/ML ops). So far I have: full parser AST, expression-level type inference with let bindings and operators, effect rows as bitmasks, type checker that catches mismatches, tiny CLI that parses → checks → evals. Whew! Early alpha stage, v0.0.4. Currently adding constraint-based HM inference for functions (let-polymorphism, higher-order). Next up: generic ADTs effect propagation. Why? Traditional automation tools (Python/Bash) can be permissive black boxes. I wanted every capability explicit, every I/O operation traced, and every failure reproducible. Safe automation you can actually audit.

Hi there. Former Intel guy who is also a former law enforcement guy here. If Gabbard is on scene, it means that the FBI has found a foreign/counterintelligence nexus to the investigation into the 2020 election in Georgia; otherwise they'd be reporting to Bondi and DOJ. Gabbard was very likely able to discern the relevant gist from the documents recovered because she already knew what they contained before she ever arrived. Let me explain a bit further. To get a search warrant, a Federal Magistrate—one with no ties to Trump, and in fact a resume filled with Legal Aid and Public Defense—found probable cause that evidence of a crime existed in the narrow scope of what was being requested via search warrant. Considering how not-narrow of scope that warrant actually turned out to be, and Gabbard's involvement, we can deduce several things. First, that there is already a substantial case that some serious crime occurred and that this is not anywhere near the first evidence they've collected. Getting such a warrant from such a Magistrate would be essentially impossible otherwise; we can't even get a similarly situated Magistrate to provide the pro forma signature on a Complaint related to Don Lemon committing several felonies on public video, with numerous admissions and confessions. Let's not pretend here. Second, that the foreign nexus has probably already been getting plugged away at with the foreign-oriented intelligence apparatus for some time. It is probable, I'd hazard a guess, that a FISA warrant or two have been employed. Gabbard already knew exactly what they were looking for and she wanted to be on scene for its recovery. TL;DR — Somebody, somewhere, someday soon is completely f*cked. I'll save conjecture for a follow-on post.
Gabbrd’s claim is that she found mysterious hidden documents that Georgians forgot to burn, and in less than 24 hours somehow correctly analyzed the “intent” of the authors, which perfectly fit the narrative Trump asked for. Also why is an intel official doing law enforcement?

So, this the language of a leader? Or is this immaturity in disguise?
I didn’t do any of those things because I fear losing my dignity more than I fear losing my life. Something you coward losers will never understand. So fuck off.

Didn't share this when I first saw it because I dislike being noisy. But it really is worth a listen!!
This woman is brilliant! Do you want to understand what's going on with the influencers who are suddenly anti-ICE activists? Helen Andrews gave a speech at the last national conservatism conference, discussing how wokeness is inherently feminine and it’s an amazing breakdown.

Representative Omar continued her town hall because of one of two options: 1. She does not have the self-preservation instincts accompanying being sprayed with a smelly substance, such as getting a doctor to check it out or even as simple as washing it off. 2. She staged it. There are no other options.

No, women are not retarded. They are conformist. To fall for, actually fall for, narratives like the Covid story, the BLM story, the ICE is Gestapo story, to actually whole-heartedly believe them, yeah, you would have to be kinda retarded. But women didn't "fall for" those stories. Not exactly. They aligned to them. This means they went along with them, repeated them, reinforced them, not because they were convinced by evidence, but because they were convinced by the appearance of consensus. Women are evolved to believe what the rest of the tribe appears to believe. Evidence is not considered. Why? Well, humans are smart. We survive by being smart. And in order to be smart, we need to grow big brains, and get started growing those brains early. Which means human babies have giant heads. And in order to deliver those giant heads, human babies have to be born prematurely. Otherwise, head won't fit through pelvic girdle, and baby and mother both die. This means all human babies are premature. That's why horses can run at the age of six hours, but humans can't lift our giant heads for months. This means that human women, whether they are pregnant with a giant-headed baby, caring for a giant-headed baby, or just might be either one at any moment, are uniquely helpless and dependent on the support and goodwill of the tribe. Metaphorically, and often literally, a woman lives in someone else's house — not because she's a useless layabout, but because she is too busy building the future to support herself in the present. When you're in that position, you have to keep your controversial ideas to yourself. And when you evolve in that position, you evolve to have no controversial ideas. This was fine for millions of years. There was a division of labor. Women made people, men made stuff. And because the women made all those biological sacrifices to make men with big brains, the men were really good at making stuff. And the stuff was really, really useful, and it became big piles of stuff called "cities", and then it became a global system of stuff called "civilization". The stuff became so valuable that there were big arguments about what to do with the stuff, which was called "politics". But the women stayed out of politics, because politics was about stuff, stuff was men's job, and no matter who won the arguments, the winners always made sure the women had enough stuff. Why? Because dependent, future-investing, conformist women didn't evolve in a vacuum. Men evolved along with them. When you have dependent women, you evolve protective men, because tribes full of men who aren't protective don't have future generations. So women didn't wield political power directly. They were represented by men, and had a lot less skin in the game. Eventually, someone decided this was unfair. This idea didn't happen suddenly, and for no reason at all, but that's a topic for another day. But something funny happens when you give political power to women, especially in the form of a vote. You see, then you have a situation where 50% of the vote is held by people who require a great variety of different persuasion techniques or evidence to convince them of something. And the other 50% is held by women, who are persuaded by only one thing... the appearance of prevailing consensus and power. And what form of persuasion do you think is cheapest and easiest to project? Women's suffrage removes evidence and discourse from politics, and replaces it with "consensus theater"... a puppet show designed to create the illusion of a single prevailing opinion. When a narrative prevails, women vote for it, not because they are persuaded, but because it prevails. This is an explosive feedback loop — a reverse thermostat which turns the air conditioner on when it's freezing, and runs the furnace all summer. Because women's idea of how urgent an issue is comes not from an analysis of the situation, but an analysis of how many people endorse it. And any opinion, no matter how contrary to obvious facts, no matter how retarded, no matter how destructive, can become the prevailing political platform, so long as women can be convince that most other people think so. Covid was a Chinese bioweapon. The Covid shot was toxic and did not protect against Covid. George Floyd was violent drug zombie who died of an overdose, and Derek Chauvin is in prison merely for being the last guy to touch him. Police officers do not disproportionately kill innocent black men who are minding their own business, and body cams prove this. Men cannot become women. The technology doesn't exist, and may not ever exist. Diversity is, in fact, our greatest weakness. Diversity integration = war. America is better off without the vast majority of immigrants, even the ones who don't murder and steal. Socialism doesn't work in any unit larger than the extended family. Communism has never worked, and cannot work. Cows are health food. Plants are usually not. Some kids are smarter than others, and we need to invest more effort in them, not less. All of these things are inherently obvious, and women are not too retarded to see that, because they are not retarded at all. They are merely conformist. Susceptible to political theater. So democracies cannot permanently survive female suffrage. No one is particularly happy about this, not even curmudgeonly iconoclasts like me who are willing to say it out loud. It's not only unfair in principle, it's decidedly inconvenient in practice. The universe, of course, does not care. We cannot change women. We can only change politics. That won't be easy, either. But it's possible, even if the eventual process involves a lot more violence, or space colonization, than we find convenient.
Unfortunately for women, the extent of retardation I'm seeing in the Instagram stories of women I know is making me think women are retarded. Women: please stop. I do not wish to believe you are retarded. But. You fell for Covid hysteria You fell for BLM hysteria You for sure fell for Trump hysteria (and continue to) You transwomen are women'd your social media feeds for years You are now on the "ICE are fascists!" hysteria track Next month it's going to be something else Can you please not fall for every single hysteric news cycle trend fed to your algorithm? Has it occurred to you that you could stop and think for a moment before posting something completely hyperbolic, based on the incredibly biased non-information your friends share in their Instagram stories, as it just might not be the full story? Has it occurred to you that *gasp* you might be... wrong? Again? I know I know. Not all women. BUT the extent to which I have observed women in particular engaging in this behaviour over the past ten years is a lot... You don't *have* to jump on every bandwagon. You don't *have* to post every hashtag. You don't need to demand people who are not exactly like you unfollow you. That is childish and dumb, and people who are not exactly like you, you'll notice, don't do that to you. They don't tell you you are bad, just because you have bad opinions, which you do. You just don't know it, because you don't bother to consider that alternate views might be legitimate. Even though those views aren't in your friends Instagram stories! Imagine. Imagine just not posting something stupid and hyperbolic on your social media feed every single time your friends do it. Imagine not posting a black square because everyone else is. Stop being retarded. Use your brain. Maybe give it a minute or two. Maybe look beyond your algorithm. Maybe learn from history. Recall that the mob isn't always right. And your emotions, stirred up by flashing lights, are also not always right. It's embarrassing the rest of us.

As a former Special Forces Warrant Officer with multiple rotations running counterinsurgency ops—both hunting insurgents and trying to separate them from sympathetic populations—I’ve seen organized resistance up close. From Anbar to Helmand, the pattern is familiar: spotters, cutouts, dead drops (or modern equivalents), disciplined comms, role specialization, and a willingness to absorb casualties while bleeding the stronger force slowly. What’s unfolding in Minneapolis right now isn’t “protest.” It’s low-level insurgency infrastructure, built by people who’ve clearly studied the playbook. Signal groups at 1,000-member cap per zone. Dedicated roles: mobile chasers, plate checkers logging vehicle data into shared databases, 24/7 dispatch nodes vectoring assets, SALUTE-style reporting (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) on suspected federal vehicles. Daily chat rotations and timed deletions to frustrate forensic recovery. Vetting processes for new joiners. Mutual aid from sympathetic locals (teachers providing cover, possible PD tip-offs on license plate lookups). Home-base coordination points. Rapid escalation from observation to physical obstruction—or worse. This isn’t spontaneous outrage. This is C2 (command and control) with redundancy, OPSEC hygiene, and task organization that would make a SF team sergeant nod in recognition. Replace “ICE agents” with “occupying coalition forces” and the structure maps almost 1:1 to early-stage urban cells we hunted in the mid-2000s. The most sobering part? It’s domestic. Funded, trained (somewhere), and directed by people who live in the same country they’re trying to paralyze law enforcement in. When your own citizens build and operate this level of parallel intelligence and rapid-response network against federal officers—complete with doxxing, vehicle pursuits, and harassment that’s already turned lethal—you’re no longer dealing with civil disobedience. You’re facing a distributed resistance that’s learned the lessons of successful insurgencies: stay below the kinetic threshold most of the time, force over-reaction when possible, maintain popular support through narrative, and never present a single center of gravity. I spent years training partner forces to dismantle exactly this kind of apparatus. Now pieces of it are standing up in American cities, enabled by elements of local government and civil society. That should keep every thinking American awake at night. Not because I want escalation. But because history shows these things don’t de-escalate on their own once the infrastructure exists and the cadre believe they’re winning the information war. We either recognize what we’re actually looking at—or we pretend it’s still just “activism” until the structures harden and spread. Your call, America. But from where I sit, this isn’t January 2026 politics anymore. It’s phase one of something we’ve spent decades trying to keep off our own soil.

Most Black communities are in Democrat controlled cities. At any point in time, they could've done for you what they are currently doing for illegal aliens. They could've sent you direct funds, organized your protection from police, bent laws to accommodate your presence. But they didn't...they took funds meant for you and reinforced their own power. They organized the police as a taxation force and protection of them from you. They implemented laws to disarm, convict and imprison you. This wasn't done by the Feds. This wasn't done by Republicans...they hate you and are NEVER coming to your community. Democrats created the atmosphere we protest...
