Great Women & Safety in Parks conference this week. We must ensure women and girls are involved at the start of the design process; that there is gender balance at all levels within our professions and that we return to see how our designs are being used.

Together with our 2nd year students of Landscape Architecture, we visited the Piece Hall in Halifax (1779).
This visit was part of a module which looks into detail design. Students had a chance to measure the ramps and calculate the slopes.

We visited Gillespies in Leeds with our 3rd year students.
@gillespies_llp is one of the most well known landscape architecture offices in the world. The aim was to familiarise our students with working environment.
