One of the many Russian war criminal channels that orchestrates and publishes their attacks on defenceless civilians in Kherson has gotten a taste of their own medicine. I won't link them, but you can see the translation below.

🕯️ With deep sadness, we learned of the loss among our “military penguins” — Antarctic specialists who stood up to defend Ukraine. On June 7, the heart of Valerii Semeniuk, a member of three Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions, Captain of the Medical Service, and a military doctor, stopped beating while on duty in military hospital. A participant of the 11th, 14th, and 18th Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions, Valerii was remembered by his fellow polar researchers as an honest, principled, and kind-hearted person who always supported others and helped young colleagues adapt to life in Antarctica. Joined to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2022, he remained in service until his final moments. The entire Antarctic community mourns this loss. Our deepest condolences go to his family, friends, colleagues, brothers-in-arms, and everyone who knew him. Eternal memory and honor. Honor to the fallen. 🇺🇦🕯️

Well something's burning off the SE coast of Odesa, about 20-40km out I'd say. Two distinct booms, and now heavily smoking. Here's photos and a heading.

What logistics doing? (dying in Mariupol) While Russian logistical efforts have never really been something to write home about when talking about the last 5-10km to the front, having its regular supply movements degraded at this depth will have serious consequences for the troops at the front, as there is no longer a safe passage for them along the Ukrainian coastline. Couple this to the continued strike camping in Crimea, and Russia is staring down a very difficult supply situation in the south which would have a noticeable impact on their ability to perform offensive and defensive operations.
Azov returns to Mariupol. For now, through reconnaissance-strike systems. Pilots of First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine patrol roads up to 160 km deep behind the line of contact. In the cameras of reconnaissance-strike drones: Mariupol and enemy military targets. Enemy forces are using Ukrainian roads in the city and its outskirts to move personnel and military hardware. First Corps Azov continues to establish a "sanitary zone" for Russian logistics. The strike depth will increase. Azov is already patrolling its home city of Mariupol. From the skies — for now. But more is coming.

"A study by Ukraine's military ombudsman found that soldiers deployed for over 40 days on front-line positions develop apathy and 'stop caring whether they survive or not,' Ombudsman Olha Reshetylova said on April 27. The findings come amid broader concerns over Ukraine's mobilization system, which has faced persistent challenges in recruitment and rotation during the full-scale war. Ukraine's military has struggled with manpower shortages and prolonged deployments, with some troops remaining on positions for months due to a lack of replacements. The research by the Office of the Military Ombudsman indicates that prolonged deployments lead to severe psychological strain, decreasing combat effectiveness. 'Everything beyond 40 days cannot be considered effective,' Reshetylova said in an interview to Ukrainska Pravda, adding that commanders should take the findings into account. She noted that existing regulations limit time on position to 15 days, but the rule is widely ignored, leaving some troops deployed for months or longer without rotation. 'This is a dead norm that no one follows, which in turn means there are effectively no limits,' she said." kyivindependent.com/after-40… pravda.com.ua/articles/2026/…

NEW: The U.S. has burned through so many munitions in Iran that some administration officials increasingly assess that America couldn’t fully execute contingency plans to defend Taiwan from a Chinese invasion if it occurred in the near term, U.S. officials said.

❣️The elderly man who managed to carry his entire life out of hell in an old Zhiguli now has a new car! A vehicle for the 70-year-old refugee from Donbas was purchased by Monobank co-founder Oleh Horokhovskyi. The resilient grandfather became a social media star after evacuating everything he could under shelling — including his dog and 18 chickens. His old car broke down in Kyiv, unable to handle the overload. A story ending you want to watch again and again 🙏

90% of the counteroffensive maps you're seeing are mappers correcting overmarking of Russian advances. The captured villages were never truly controlled by Russia. It was small forward units in contested areas, these are largely just fluctuations in the contested zones.
