My boss's boss is like 42, never married, no kids. Earns $275-300K per year. Goes on a minimum of two international vacations a year w/ his girlfriend. 10 days, all out. Eats the best food, stays in top notch accomodations. Excursions, tours, nicest beaches, etc. Great guy, I'm happy for him. But what I've realized is that without kids, you end up chasing a lifestyle that has to continually be topped in order for you to be satisfied and find happiness. What he and others like him don't understand is that when you have children, seeing THEM experience life's most basic things and watching their eyes light up at all the "firsts", brings greater pleasure and joy than any vacation or travel experience ever could. Seeing THEM try blueberries for the first time is greater than dining at the best 5 star restaurant in Europe. Seeing THEM learn how to walk is greater than walking the Great Wall of China or strolling along the most picturesque beach. Watching THEM giggle uncontrollably at "peek-a-boo" tops any A-list comedian act. Seeing THEIR excitement when building a fort out of cardboard boxes and making a door big enough for daddy is superior to staying at 5-star resorts. Flying kites with THEM far outweighs excursions like parasailing or helicopter rides. Seeing THEM perform a recital on stage for the first time is more rewarding than watching a Broadway show or top notch symphony orchestra. ----------------- When you have children, all of a sudden you realize that life's greatest joys are not in the pursuit of things or pleasure or travel, but rather in the LOVE and bond you share with your very own image bearers. Seeing the beauty and magnificence and wonder of life all over again for the first time through THEIR eyes and expressions gives you something the world simply cannot offer, nor even come close.

Building a large family isn't about the size of your wallet, it's about contraceptive behavior. When you go all natural, avoid condoms / birth control, and consistently leave the size of your family up to God, having a large family is only a matter of time. No luck needed.
Building wealth isn't about income, it's about behavior. When you spend less than you earn, avoid debt, and invest consistently, you can build wealth at any income level. It's not flashy, but it works.

Why is it so hard to create secure software? Maybe someone should invent a security-first programming language that doesn't have so many vulnerabilities. Tech bros aren't as smart as we give them credit for.
I’ve had a number of conversations with folks inside and outside government about the current situation with Anthropic, and here is what I believe to be true: — As we know, Anthropic publicly released its Mythos class models earlier this week under the commercial name Fable. — Fable is Mythos with guardrails. But if those guardrails fail, then you’ve exposed Mythos and its advanced cyber capabilities to people who shouldn’t have them. (Keep in mind that Anthropic itself widely promoted the idea that Mythos was a cyberweapon and needed to be regulated as such. They asked for government regulation of Mythos and championed the guardrails on Fable. If there is a vulnerability — big or small — it is Anthropic’s responsibility to patch.) — A highly credible trusted partner of both Anthropic and the USG who was testing Fable came forward with a jailbreak of those guardrails. The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused. — In their blog post, Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak isn’t serious. That is not what the trusted partner and the USG believe; nor is that kind of minimizing language consistent with Anthropic’s brand as the AI safety company. It’s difficult to fathom how they could claim a jailbreak allowing operability of a cyber weapon could be defined as not “serious.” — In the past, Anthropic has always said that safety must be top priority and taken super seriously. In this case, Anthropic prioritized the continued offering of the consumer model over safety. — In reaction, the Admin issued the export control. The Admin did this reluctantly. It’s been very surprised that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to cooperate with a reasonable safety request (ie fixing the jailbreak issue). Anthropic’s reaction is very much at odds with their branding and ethos as a safe AI research community. — The Admin’s hope now is that Anthropic remediates the safety issue, the export control is lifted, and Fable goes back into general release. The Admin wants all of this to happen as soon as possible. It is frankly bewildered that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to comply with safety requests that it previously said were its highest priority. — Those trying to misdirect and tie this action to the prior DoW/Anthropic issues are wrong. The Admin values Anthropic’s technical capabilities and feels that this issue, while serious, should be easily resolved. The ball is in Anthropic’s court.

God's design for criminal justice is FAR better than what man has come up with.

Both @elonmusk and @JeffBezos say that prices of goods and services are going to become cheaper due to automation. Are any companies MORE automated than they already are? Why don't they put their money where their mouth is and lower the price of Starlink and Amazon Prime? 🤔

Our kids have never had even a DROP of soda touch their tongues. They've also never had any cavities at the dentist. I see so many kids whose teeth are RUINED because they eat/drink so much sugar. Why can't parents just say NO to these extremely unhealthy drinks?!

Husbands, One of the best ways to reduce tension between you and your wife is to not speak at all, but rather, use your hands. Just go to your wife and start massaging her shoulders, her neck, or her feet. No words, just action that shows you care about her. Actions > words.

There will be no sex in heaven. If your hope for life after death involves satisfying carnal, sensual pleasures through sex, you're involved in a false religion.
A Muslim woman explains what Muslims will get in heaven: “Allah will reward men with 72 virgins. But women will be forever young and beautiful. We will live in gold palaces. Allah will give us silk clothes, diamonds, and slaves to serve us for eternity.” I have never seen a more materialistic and carnal religion.

If you're a man with longer hair, and have any urge whatsoever to put your hair up into a man bun, I IMMEDIATELY question your masculinity and testosterone levels. Where does that urge come from?!

Distracting the American people from more important things happening in our country is a very lucrative gig. 🇺🇸

Now it's time for men to start LEADING the church again!
Men are attending church in higher numbers than women:

Some people think having children would be too stressful. But they don't realize that 10 years later, they're going to need a neck & shoulder massage their daughter wants to give them. Raising children can be stressful, but if you do it right, they're also the answer to stress.

The just penalty for murder isn't a lifetime of 3 hots and a cot on the taxpayer dime. Genesis 9:6 Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.
BREAKING: A jury has found Karmelo Anthony guilty of murder in the fatal murder of Austin Metcalf.

If you get this wrong, I question everything else. Killing an unborn child is not a matter of taste. Disqualifying in my opinion.
This is now the Republican Party by the way.

As a father to 4 girls, I don't know how this "boyfriend" slipped past the radar. Not to mention allowing your daughter to be alone with a boy. This is a tragedy. Dads have become too LAZY when it comes to young men dating their daughters. DADS NEED TO BE MORE DILIGENT!

Both our niece and nephew did this. Our kids were NOT invited to their weddings. Even though BOTH of them were in OUR wedding ceremony as young children. I don't care if it's a "trend", it's stupid, selfish, and anti-family. We declined to attend both of their weddings.

It's less about trust and more about "aliveness". Even though they both may have similar quality products, the box with the robot just feels STALE and LIFELESS. I'd be waiting in line at Peet's too.
At SFO… line 10 deep for Peet’s Coffee while zero interest in robot barista. RoBa is ~3% cheaper. Both have self-ordering. Both have full menu of drinks and baked goods. Interested in hypotheses on “Why?” A few of mine: a) CafeX tried for novelty and poor quality? (Disproven by personal taste, but others may disagree) b) Inferior UI with no backup human (contributing imho) c) Price differential not enough to lead to switch (leading candidate)

At 35, my wife & I had already been married for 14 years. 5 kids. Stay-at-home mom since our 3rd child. Fully dependent on me to provide. So sad to see women waking up at 35 to realize they missed the boat. You can fight God's best for you, but it'll wear you out eventually.
35 year old wanted to boss babe, now she wants a male ATM. Lucky man step right up!
