Veteran war correspondent Janine di Giovanni drops the uncomfortable truth:
"If a missile hits a hospital in Ukraine, Europe calls it a war crime.
But if missiles hit a hospital in Gaza and 100 people die, it’s suddenly Israel’s right to defend itself."
This isn't journalism. This is selective outrage.
Western capitals that rallied sanctions, weapons, and moral condemnation against Russia in Ukraine suddenly lose their voice or invent excuses when the same horrors unfold in Gaza. Hospitals. Schools. Civilian shelters.
Where is the consistency? Where is the universal application of international law?
The Global South sees it clearly: Some victims are more equal than others. Hypocrisy isn't a bug in the system it's the operating manual.
Africa watches. The world watches. History will judge this double standard harshly.
