I mean, the vast majority of them do see themselves as Indian first, and American a very distant second. More of a paper thing. They do not identify with, let alone as, anyone else in this country. That's fine- it's not evil. But we shouldn't be forced to pretend they care about American culture or long term well-being, or that they have comradery with us. They are not literal "invaders" but it is true that they don't see us as their fellows most of the time.
You think no one of Indian descent can criticize Americans saying that Indian Americans aren't real Americans and are just invaders?
