For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children. Psalm 78:4-6 Today, parents are too busy to tell their kids about the past rules, regulations, and laws that were set for us to obey! The problem was that the parents were not told either, almost all the way back into the 1950s! This is why kids are out of control, taking over the streets and malls with no discipline or curfews to follow. The liberal left of today doesn't obey laws or rules, and discipline is a thing of the past. They protect criminals and ignore victims who have been robbed, raped, and murdered. They opened America's borders and let in millions of illegal aliens who have destroyed our cities and cost us millions in benefits! The blind leading the blind, and the children have suffered. Kids murdering kids because they were not taught how to deal with their problems! Thousands are protesting illegal aliens being locked up instead of crying out against the murder of innocent victims, with no end in sight. May God have mercy! That they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments; and may not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set its heart aright, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. © Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 118 I cried out to God with my voice— To God with my voice; and He gave ear to me. In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord; my hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; my soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah, You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times. I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, and my spirit makes diligent search. Psalm 77:1-6 Sound familiar, another test or trial to face, and it seems God is not around? It's funny how soon we forget His last miracle, or maybe a healing, and now here we are again! Like our school days, if we fail a test, we have to take it again; have we not learned? This is why we journal, to remember the glorious works that He has done, so when we are tested again, we have a book of remembrance. God keeps a record, "The Lamb's Book of Life," and we must be glad so that He doesn't forget us! Praise God for His thoughts toward us (which, by the way, are more than can be counted!) and His everlasting favor and mercy! Being tried and tested builds maturity and strengthens our resolve, the apostle Paul said: Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things, I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more? Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? And I said, “This is my anguish; but I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.” I will remember the works of the Lord; surely, I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work and talk of Your deeds. Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God? You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples. Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awakes, so, Lord, when You awake, You shall despise their image. Psalm 73:18-20 The Rich Man and Lazarus is a parable told by Jesus, found in Luke 16:19-31. It contrasts the lives of a wealthy man who lived in luxury and a poor beggar named Lazarus who suffered at his gate. After death, Lazarus is comforted in Abraham's bosom, while the rich man finds himself in torment. This parable teaches about the consequences of one's actions regarding wealth and compassion, emphasizing the importance of caring for the needy and the finality of judgment. It serves as a warning against ignoring the needs of others and highlights the sufficiency of God's word. “The time came when the beggar died, and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side." The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So, he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony. And besides all this, between you and us a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ Luke 16:25-26 Your servant in Christ, Timothy Laughlin Minister of the Gospel of Jesus ChristUnsubscribe | Manage Subscription | Web View 📷

© Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 116 Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the boastful when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no pangs in their death, but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like other men. Psalm 73:1-5 Some of the most wicked, diabolical people on earth are multi-billionaires! Drug lords, murderers, enemies of all that is good just seem to flourish without consequence. Take George Soros, who hates America and does everything he can to see it destroyed. A wicked man who has financed some of the most evil attacks on our country and against democracy. In his old age, he has left his demonic mission to his son, who may even be worse than him. Our own government has many who entered poor and are now rich, guilty of many underhanded deeds, but they never get caught, even though everyone knows what they have done. Even though they live a seemingly idyllic life, judgment soon awaits them, an eternal flame that burns away any hope of mercy and salvation. The memory of them and their evil life melts away in the ashes of God's fury. Therefore, pride serves as their necklace; Violence covers them like a garment. Their eyes bulge with abundance; They have more than the heart could wish. They scoff and speak wickedly concerning oppression; they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth. Therefore, his people return here, and waters of a full cup are drained by them. And they say, “How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?” Behold, these are the ungodly, who are always at ease; they increase in riches. Surely, I have cleansed my heart in vain and washed my hands in innocence. For all day long, I have been plagued and chastened every morning. Psalm 73:6-14Unsubscribe | Manage Subscription | Web View 📷

© Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 115 Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Our God is the God of salvation, and to GOD the Lord belongs escape from death. Psalm 68:19-20 Most companies provide benefit plans for their employees, and so does our heavenly Father, Who loads us every day with everything that pertains to life and godliness! We are so blessed, but many don't even racialize it! Talk about count your blessings, I bet if you tried, you couldn't do it! You may think because your bank account is empty that you are destitute, but God is providing everything for you! This story is found in 2 Kings 4:1-7. A widow, whose husband had been a member of the company of prophets, approached Elisha in desperation because her deceased husband left debts she could not pay, and a creditor threatened to take her two sons as slaves. Elisha asked her what she had in her house, and she replied that she had only a small jar of oil. Elisha instructed her to borrow as many empty containers as possible from her neighbors, then go inside with her sons, shut the door, and pour oil into all the jars, setting each aside when full. Miraculously, the oil continued to flow until all the borrowed jars were filled. When she informed Elisha, he told her to sell the oil, pay her debts, and live on the remainder. Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. © Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 114 A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. Psalm 68:5-6 For years, God sent us widows and orphans into our residential ministry. There are not only physical widows and orphans, but there are also spiritual widows, who don't have a husband, Jesus, and the orphans who don't have a heavenly Father. God is concerned for those, and He is mindful of their need, and this is true religion to take care of widows, orphans, and all those who are alone in this world. This is the ministry of the Church of Jesus Christ to reach out and be the good Samaritans that God has called us to be! To love God with all of our hearts and our neighbor as ourselves! Jesus told His disciples that He called sheep that He was a stranger, hungry, thirsty, in prison, naked, and sick, and you met His need. He also said that if you did it to the least of these, you did it to Me! Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. © Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 113 Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. Psalm 68:1-3 A nine-foot behemoth stood before all of Israel and bellowed out curses, but they had no one to answer his challenge to fight. Every day, the giant's voice echoed through the land, sending fear through the ranks of Israel's army, and even though King Saul offered rewards, no one accepted. Jesse's youngest, David, was sent to take provisions to his older brothers in the army of Israel. When he arrived, he heard the giant's challenge and immediately accepted Goliath's offer to fight! It was amazing that a scrawny kid with nothing but a sling would dare to fight with a giant trained from his youth and armed to the teeth, but David trusted God and was confident that he would prevail! As they addressed each other in battle, David let a stone fly, and it hit the giant in the temple, and he fell to the ground like a huge tree. David quickly took Goliath's sword and cut off his head, and the Philistines fled in terror before all of Israel! Are you facing a Goliath in your life, a giant of a problem, a fearful diagnosis, or maybe a financial need? Then do this: Give it to your Covenant Partner, God, and trust Him to fight for you; and you will have victory, just like David! Let Your enemies be scattered and let those who hate You flee before You.” Numbers 10:35 Your servant in Christ, Timothy Laughlin Minister of the Gospel of Jesus ChristUnsubscribe | Manage Subscription | Web View 📷

© Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 112 O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So, I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Psalm 63:1-2 The world is a spiritual desert, with nothing to give the believer, so we must seek the only One able to give us the water of life! God's word has everything we need to survive in this journey through a dry and dusty land. Psalm 1:2-3 instructs us to meditate on God's word day and night, and the outcome will make us into a spiritual tree planted by rivers of the water of life! Early in the morning is the best time, alone with Jesus to seek His face, and worship Him in the quietness of the day. As you dive into the pool of His supernatural word, God will open your spiritual eyes and ears. If you will journal your journey and write down your prayers, God will remind you of His answers and the signs, wonders, and miracles that He did for you. This is how we become strong in the Lord and empowered to serve Him in this life! Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Thus, I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. © Restoration Training Center • All Rights ReservedThe Wisdom of God: Part 111 Truly, my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, like a leaning wall and a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his high position; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah Psalm 62:1-4 David's life was filled with violence, war, and accusations from his enemies, friends, and even family! There was always a plot to kill him, and he was always looking over his shoulder for an attack. It's one thing when your enemies attack you, but when your wife and father-in-law do it, it becomes very dangerous. By the time he had the affair with Bathsheba, I believe he was totally burned out. He stayed back from the battle, and the devil seduced him during his short-lived vacation. Hundreds of God's men and women leave the ministry every month, burned out and weary of the war that has consumed them. One of the main problems that causes this is: 1. No accountability, 2. No sabbatical, 3. Isolation. When you isolate yourself in ministry and are not accountable to someone who can take up the slack, the devil will take you out. There weren't many as strong in the Lord as David, and yet it didn't take more than a beautiful naked lady to trip him up! "Beware of the Snare!" My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.
