People on waiting lists for joint replacement surgery in England are being left in pain due to arbitrary BMI thresholds set by Integrated Care Boards.
We are calling on ICBs to stop using these policies and base decisions on clinical need.
Across England, access to life-changing surgery is unfairly being decided by BMI, ignoring clinical guidelines.
We're calling for an end to #BMI threshold policies to ensure that people with #arthritis waiting in pain get access to treatment. Read more: bit.ly/4bSFV8T

Hi @TLRailUK@networkrail any updates on when the signalling issues between City Thameslink & Blackfriars will be fixed? 2 weeks now. All direct trains to WGC get cancelled each time. As I need Passenger Assist, just creates extra faff to go to St Pancras to go over to KGX.
We are Arthritis UK. Our name may have changed, but our mission hasn't.
We won't rest until everyone with arthritis has access to the support and treatment they need to live the life they choose.

New name, new look, same vision.
Welcome to @VersusArthritis!
Now Arthritis UK!
Here I am at home last week (on holiday this week)! I was so excited about the new brand, that I accidentally got dressed in the new colour palette!
Want to find Sofie and Paul. Had their Xmas card from Mandy and Ryan 2 years in a row. Now it includes a thank you for the wedding present card too. Mandy in Ryan live near Gatwick from the postmark.
Oops, @GNRailUK - luckily there was a wheelchair user getting on my train at Hatfield that I was getting off. Staff at KGX hadn’t called Hatfield to say I needed a ramp. 18:27 from KGX today. Please can you investigate.
Hello @WelHatCouncil could a litter picker come down my road, please? The refuse collectors sent half my rubbish flying all over during today’s collection.
@BootsUK just to make you aware that your store in Hatfield Town Centre is now inaccessible to wheelchair users. The outdoor door button is too far away and door closes before you get back to it. Indoor button, to exit store, is now behind the detector things so unreachable.

@SkyUK What is going on with my Sky broadband this past week?! Don’t you know it’s the Olympics! Just missing the final length in a men’s swimming relay as WiFi went down at that key moment! And Simone Biles mid-beam earlier.
Only have a big online report launch for work tomorrow too. Can’t rely on my WiFi so I will need to make a colleague meeting host to ensure the whole event doesn’t go down mid-way. Good work, @SkyUK One day, OK, but this issue has been going on for 5 days now.
Cardiac rehab and physical activity is important for people with cardiomyopathy, but we need to research into what is suitable and effective. This is a priority from the cardiomyopathy PSP. Thank you to @bacpr for talking about this today.
@Cardiomyopathy research priorities include what are the best approaches to CR for cardiomyopathies - we are pleased that @cardiomyopathy have joined us today on an exhibitor stand
Hello @Stadium_MK I am coming to Take That on 30 May. I have mobility issues but can’t book a blue badge space now as all fully booked. I can use my small, lightweight scooter to get about & walk short distances. Is there possible to store my scooter during the concert?
It appears @OctopusEnergy keep calling me but it must be an automated call centre dialling out as when I pick up, there is no one on the other end. If I hear no voice after 1 second, I hang up.
A powerful final blog from the incredible @WendyPMitchell with whom I worked with on projects in a previous role. Remember, this is only one person’s experience and we all have our own views, but it is worth reading for the perspective of a person living (and dying) with dementia
This is Sarah and Gemma, Wendy’s daughters. Our mum died peacefully early this morning. She wrote a blog post before she died so you can read about it from her perspective.

In 2023, we partnered with the James Lind Alliance for a priority setting process to determine the top 10 research questions for cardiomyopathy. People affected by cardiomyopathy, and health care professionals, contributed their ideas and hopes for future research topics.

Hi @BoschUK I love my Bosch dishwasher. Can you recommend a tool I can use to undo the salt cap? I live alone and can’t do it myself. New dishwasher, only second time I need to top up salt. Thanks.
