This is a reminder for all motorists that pulling around emergency vehicles when the road is closed is highly dangerous for you as well as all emergency responders. We had a number of vehicles pull around our apparatus this morning at this scene, drivers need to be more vigilant. #ldnont ^cs

Crews are on scene to a working townhome complex in the city’s north end. Heavy fire was showing on multiple units on arrival at this townhouse complex, firefighters acted quickly to knock down the fire and successfully limit the extension to the adjacent units. Excellent work by crews to protect neighbouring units and bring the incident under control. No injuries reported at this time. Fire prevention has been requested to assist and determine the cause in origin of the fire. Preliminary estimates indicate total damage to the affected units may exceed 1 million. Today’s townhouse Fire serves as an important reminder of the critical role working smoke detectors play in protecting lives. Early warning. smoke detectors provides valuable time to escape. This is especially important in multi Unit Dwellings were fire and smoke can quickly affect neighbouring units.
