1/2 Together with local ward Cllrs, Chair of @SuttonCouncil's Environment & Sustainable Transport Committee & MP @Bobby_Dean I've written to TfL to express our disappointment at their failure to engage with us before launching the Carshalton High St bus priority consultation
2/2 While we want to improve bus services, we believe these proposals will harm local residents & businesses without tackling the real traffic issues. We’re urging TfL to review our previous suggestions to properly address congestion

1/2 Deeply concerned by the latest @London_Councils report on children's services funding.
The government's proposed reforms could see London's funding cut by £1.5bn - having a detrimental impact on Sutton's vital services
2/2 The new formula is flawed and doesn't account for London's high housing costs, underestimating the need in our communities.
@suttoncouncil is urging the government to rethink these damaging proposals & work with us to protect our children's futures

Thank you to all those who helped to organise & take part in the football tournament. Fantastic to see so many teams this year including one from @SuttonCouncil
It was an honour to present the medals & certificates to those who took part & the trophy to the winning team!
What an amazing day yesterday at our 4th annual Together United Football Tournament and a massive well done to The Sutton Hongkongers as they secured this year’s trophy! Thanks to all teams, Bobby Dean MP, Madam Mayor, Cllr Barry Lewis & Cllr Patrick Ogbonna for the support!
Great to see the hard work of our local GPs praised in a recent @HW_Sutton report. The report also shows 1 in 4 people still struggle to contact their practice.
I've joined @Bobby_Dean & @LukeTaylorLD to ask the local NHS how we can improve access to GP’s

Underwhelmed by the Government’s Spending review.
@SuttonCouncil is helping to drive London’s growth with the £1 billion Cancer Hub investment and further investment in homes and high street regeneration. We’ll continue to stand up for Sutton and build a successful future.
While the #spendingReview attempts to deal with some of the most pressing issues, all councils, including Sutton, will remain under severe financial pressure.
The social care system is struggling. Despite councils' best efforts, a decade of underfunding, soaring demand, and rising costs are forcing many to increase council tax and make difficult service cuts.
