Bug that ate my afternoon: Next.js app runs great locally. Deploy to Vercel -> every dynamic page shows: "An error occurred in the Server Components render. The specific message is omitted in production builds..." Just a digest. No stack. No message. 🙂

Linux users, Is running `sudo apt update` before every `apt install` actually necessary? What actually breaks if skipped?

Interviewer: Google serves billions of requests. Amazon handles millions of users. Yet a government portal crashes on the last day of form submission. What's the real bottleneck? Infrastructure, architecture, procurement, or something else?

🇮🇳 India's Chief Economic Adviser V. Anantha Nageswaran says, "The era of software, computer science or MBA education is over," urging young people to focus more on trade skills(welder, plumber, electrician, carpenter, etc.) as AI reshapes the job market. What's your take?

WhatsApp dropped premium. How much would you pay for these services?

It's been 3 years, 6 months, and 12 days since ChatGPT went mainstream. Models got smarter. Context windows got bigger. Subscriptions got pricier. Benchmarks went crazy. But one question remains: Have you actually built a system with AI that works for you... or are you still just chatting with it?

AI was supposed to replace software devs. Instead, we now have more engineers than ever. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, software dev jobs are projected to grow 17.9% from 2023–33, adding over 300K jobs. So, is coding still worth learning in the AI era?

bro said "meta agent" wait till he hears about the meta-meta agent that just reads your existential dread at 2am and ships the entire product anyway. we've reached peak AI inception
if you’re still writing loops that prompt coding agents you’re falling behind. you need to build a meta agent that infers what loops you would have wanted based on your vibe and then write those loops

Why it hid so well: - Build prerenders static pages → file exists then → /login fine - Dynamic pages import that module at request time → throws - React sanitizes the error in prod → only a digest leaks - Even onRequestError got the sanitized version

The fix (one line of intent): Move the readFileSync INSIDE the function instead of at module top-level. Now importing the module for metadata doesn't touch the filesystem. Image still generates at build. Lesson: no top-level readFileSync in serverless-bundled code.
