Tonight while I was grilling steaks for dinner, my son said, "Dad, one day I will help you with bills, groceries and rent."

But they’re not allowed to invest in startups because it’s a “high-risk investment.”

Why do you have to pay income tax on the portion of the income spent on essential needs, like health costs, and housing? It's like giving away the money you need more.
