One example of many is Mary Somerville. Born 26/12/1780 inΒ Jedburgh, sheΒ was a 19th-century polymath and writer. Though she specialised in math and astronomy, she was also well-versed in botany and geology. The "Connection of the Physical Sciences" remains her most notable work.

S3 Physicists had a great day at @gsc1 taking part in the BAE Systems workshop. They tackled apprenticeship-style dexterity tests, used new tools and apparatus, and competed in teams… there were a few leaky pipes along the way though πŸ’§πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ #Teamwork #Pathways #DYW
