New teachers cite student behavior as one of their biggest challenges. One district is drawing on neuroscience to help them better interpret and address behavior problems. "The goal is for these activities to prompt teachers to reconsider how they interpret student behavior. When participants examine behaviors historically labeled as lack of motivation, they are encouraged to ask whether cognitive saturation may be a more accurate explanation.
