We're glad to see key investments in the latest #DCBudget draft to protect our social safety net, including:
✅ Restored funding for legal & victim services
✅ A pause on harmful cuts to TANF
✅ Funding for existing & NEW housing vouchers
✅ Reversal on cuts to Alliance
A few things we're still hoping to see and will keep advocating for:
- Cost-of-living adjustment for TANF
- Restore Alliance & Medicaid income eligibility
- Funding for ERAP for 4K households
- Additional funding for emergency housing vouchers
