Let’s get down to the nitty gritty on “hospital rings.” Your Knicks avoided a Pistons team where Cade was fresh off a collapsed lung with no ramp up. Franz Orlando, Haliburton/Tatum had Achilles injuries Embiid not being 100%. Out West, Luka, Thunder's Jalen Williams, Ajay Mitchell, Anthony Edwards the list goes on.
Every title run has injuries. People love to hate on the '24 Celtics, but they played the entire playoffs without KP. Hali played 2 of 4 Celtics won both Donovan played 3 of 5 Celtics won both. Yet, the revisionist history is crazy…before the Finals started, everybody picked the Mavs to win it all.
The 24’ Celtics run wasn’t soft, and neither was yours. Stop acting like the Knicks magically earned a “pure” ring while everyone else got handouts. Both sides had paths opened by banged up opponents. So didn’t the Thunder in 25’ That’s playoff basketball it’s not just about talent, but health and a little bit of luck.
