Kandi Burruss Says She Knew It Was Time To Leave RHOA After Porsha Williams And Phaedra Parks' "Dungeon" Scandal
Kandi Burruss is opening up about the moment she realized her time on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" may have been coming to an end.
During a recent interview with RNB Philly, the longtime Bravo star was asked when she knew it was time to walk away from the franchise after spending 14 seasons on the show.
Without hesitation, Burruss pointed to the infamous Season 9 controversy involving allegations made by former castmates Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks.
"That season with the whole dungeon with the dragon — when they said that I was taking people to a dungeon," Burruss recalled. "Yeah, I was over it then."
The comments reference one of the most controversial storylines in RHOA history. During Season 9, Williams repeated claims that Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker allegedly wanted to dr*g her and take her to a so-called "s*x dungeon."
The accusations were ultimately traced back to Parks during the reunion, where she admitted she had repeated information she heard from another source. The allegations were denied by Burruss and Tucker, and the fallout led to Parks' departure from the series following the season.
