2/2 There's a growing realisation & awareness that, despite their adaptability, leopards are in trouble range-wide. May the enthusiasm for these apex predators go further than pretty pics online, & translate into support for org's dedicated to leopards &real conservation impacts.

Leopards are among the most adaptable big cats, known for their stealth, resilience, and remarkable versatility, found across dense forests and rugged mountains to grasslands and human settlements. With their publication, the Big Cats Magazine, #SankalaFoundation, in collaboration with the International Big Cat Alliance, shares stories that amplify conservation voices and strengthen collective efforts to protect the seven big cats and their habitats. On International Leopard Day, the focus moves beyond survival to the balance that makes coexistence possible. Because saving leopards means saving ecosystems. #InternationalLeopardDay #BigCats #SaveEcosystem #SaveWildlife

Sound on 🔊 A big male African leopard rasps at the old Pakuba Pool ruins in Murchison Falls NP, marking his territory in one of the park’s richest areas. Captured in crisp 4K on our SOLARIS trail camera, that's perfect for ID, research, and sharing wildlife stories worldwide.

Here are three of the smallest leopard cubs that were captured on the PPP camera traps. These images were captured in 2020 & we are delighted that two of the three leopards shown here, are still alive. Cub mortality in leopards is extremely high due to a variety of reasons.
