Just posted about our new Bioinfo-Software called TattleTail for the prediction of #Tailocins in Bacteria. It appears that X's #AI algorithms recognize tailocins as "adult restricted adult content"... @grok We "see what we want to see"?

We often hear: “Phage therapy is not approved.” But approval follows research, not the other way round. We explore alternatives like tailocins and built TattleTail, a tool to detect pyocins in P. aeruginosa genomes. biorxiv.org/content/10.64898…

Tailocins are phage‑derived protein complexes that kept the ability to kill bacteria but lost the capacity to replicate. They are basically phage tails which target specific strains killing them with high specificity and efficiency, making them promising antimicrobials.

Using TattleTail, we identified pyocin clusters in clinical P. aeruginosa genomes. After induction, we visualized tail‑like particles by TEM and confirmed their activity in killing assays. TattleTail works – the predicted loci encode functional tailocins!
