Oh man. What fantastic condition they are in too. I own a pristine (previous shrink wrapped) copy of Stanrey. I've never found Kalnock in a decent enough condition to pick up. I've breifly looked at the Macross wargames, but they were always lousy condition or jacked price.

Thankfully, the Crusher Joe and other older model kits are much easier to get your hands on. I've always wanted the few VOTOMS wargames too, even though none of them have translations (even unofficially) like Dog/City Fight and Kalnock/Stanrey.

What replying while groggy getting up in the morning does to you. I made a mistake: I own a copy of Kalnock, not Stanrey. I even wrote a whole thread about how it probably contributed to BattleTech as a tabletop game.

I've been made aware. A reader of LTBT even provided images of their VHS collection of the Central Park release tapes. Still, VOTOMS seemingly was insanely obscure to get its own to-market TT-RPG. I'm really interested if anyone has like, actually played it.

@TimJEldred Was one of the main sources of popularity for VOTOMS in the west. I highly recommend checking his site, lots of interesting info about it there. Specifically, check out the "The Votoms Viewer’s Guide" section. timeldred.com/votomshub/

Also, if the supplement to add space combat rules ever got anywhere into production, because obviously it didn't get released. I think someone should have their hand in making a new VOTOMS RPG for what its worth.

From an old LTBT on the Owens. Sometimes I get reminded of this fact, and I still find it just as strange.

The 'Mech made a cameo appearance in the Japanese Anime OVA, Date A Live, where character Tohka Yatogami uses a simulator pod (which resembles the arcade pods for Kidō Senshi Gundam: Senjō no Kizuna across Japan) in an arcade to blow up an Owens BattleMech.

With that, time for my spiel again I give to every LTBT like this. It is your duty as a BattleTech fan, if able; to understand and look into BattleTech's anime origins. While I glaze Dougram endlessly, Macross is also a notable contributor (at least in terms of designs)

Keyword, Macross, not Robotech. Obligatory fuck Harmony Gold and their butchering of a cornerstone mecha classic.
