Bearded collie, Molly. Stanley our Scottie arrived 2021. Mac died in Dec 2019 and our Border Terrier/Parsons/Patterdale X, Daisy died beginning of lockdown 2020
It was a very very wet walk as Wee Wolf Stan can attest. Still a joyful nightmare. Still watching most tv programmes on silent to keep him settled. Still shouting at allll the dogs. My heart problems aren't happy atm so treading water but when he cuddles in he fills it up. π
Custard week #gbbo
"Thereβs a little village just outside Bolton called Custard..." As Matt said "really?", a disdainful looking Hollywood said: "No, donβt be ridiculous"
Me..'Isn't it after General Custard?'
Mike: 'It's General Custer.'
I mean..Sandwiches? Wellingtons?
Made your lovely #daleem today @BegumNadiya I've overdone it on the chilli powder for some of the house. I served it with fatfree yoghurt but anything I can do to reduce the spice as we are freezing it. I have 300g more lentils and more fatfree yoghurt. Water? V tasty. X
Stan is definitely secretly an influencer for a tooth whitening company. He always has a 'Ross from Friends' toothly dazzle. Hello to everyone. π Mike good. I'm ok but Entresto is still at baby dose. We move forward and stay in the same place. πͺ
Good morning @meamandamealing Hope you are doing well. See attached. Craig was amazing up here in the Pandemic. Could be so kind to give a greeting to his friend and long serving/retiring colleague, Anne? I've had bc myself so have always kept a weather eye on you. π Thankyou. X
Anyone else for whom AA Milne's children's poems are super evocative? We were talking about india rubber balls....and then not treading on the lines in the pavement. Thanks, Mum. π
βTO ALL AND SUNRY - NEAR AND FAR -
F. CHRISTMAS IN PARTICULAR.
I want some crackers,
And I want some candy;
I think a box of chocolates
Would come in handy;
And, oh! Father Christmas, if you love me at all,
Bring me a big, red India-rubber ball!β ~A.A.Milne #Christmas
With us a year yesterday. We celebrated with a Mam and Stan waltz on the longlead at the beach. It was a reenactment WW2 battle day. Ammunition and guns going off everywhere. Was he bothered? No. But if a gun goes off on the tv. 'Beware beware beware' at full vol.
Thought I saw a house martin flying low at 1830 tonight. I was in a dressing gown going to get something from the garage. Ran up the drive and onto the pavement and it was a bit of a paperbag being bowled along. #specsavers Gave the 49 dogwalkers a laugh
Tomorrow, it's Mike's first 1to1 training with Stan with our lovely trainer so he can do dog meets without jumping behind bushes. Mike, that is. He's referenced a coffee tamper as a good murder weapon today so know he's worried. π€£ Stan isn't.
We went to #tynemouthmarket First time in a long time. M did brill. He'd spotted a 1967 teaset in a charity shop on Friday and on Saturday I rang up and reserved it. We collected it and I smile each time we've had tea in it. It was treasured and will be now too. Gainsborough
In other news, after loving @siobhni on #Potterythrowdown started to watch #derrygirls. Love it. I've a Mum educated in a convent and myself, was a Salesperson travelling to NI this last 20 years. Touching, hilarious, dry, very sad. Something for everyone in this.
After the vet we are 70 percent there on Stan's tummy, Mike is fully on the Stan journey and didn't need protecting from it and Mike is far better than we thought. AND. big news. After 3 weeks of joint walks, I walked Stan alone. And he WALKED!
