Macclesfield’s Lewis Fensome on how he wore Marc Guehi’s shirt to a nightclub after beating Crystal Palace:
“I didn’t know whether to call him ‘Marc’ or ‘Mr Guéhi’, but I just said, ‘Can I have your shirt after the game?’
“Luckily he was really nice and said, ‘Sorry, one of your lads has already asked for it.’ Our striker D’Mani Mellor was laughing at me because he’d got it.
“But then Guéhi said, ‘I’ve got one from the first half you can have, don’t worry.’
“I had no clothes with me, apart from my tracksuit — I wasn’t expecting to be celebrating a win. So I put Marc Guéhi’s shirt on, my jacket over the top, and borrowed my friend’s jeans and shoes.
“I went everywhere in Manchester with the shirt on until a bouncer stopped me. I said, ‘Do you know how I got this?’ To be fair, he let me put my jacket on over it and let me in.”
