Was honoured tonight to sub in as chairman for the inaugural meeting of Restore Britain's Forest of Dean Branch. 35 attendees (forgot to take the picture until after some had left), most of whom were previously totally apolitical.
Of the others, there was one ex-UKIP councillor; one ex-Reform councillor, who spoke at length about the poison seeping into that party at all levels; and, to my surprise, one ex-Advance UK member. It was a very big-tent nationalist meeting.
Lots of talk was had about participation; how many hands can make light work of large constituencies; how we're going to get people on the same page with policy, and prepare people for leafletting and canvassing; and, essentially, how the party plans to Restore Britain.
I'm sure most of my followers know I'm also the Leader of the
@natdisparty. Unfortunately, nobody in my local Restore branch was willing to take on the responsibility of being Chairman tonight, and though I don't like distracting myself from growing and propagating what I see to be a far more ideologically pure movement (the NDP), if nobody had stepped forward? Nothing would've gotten done.
Instead of caring about party lines, I prioritised the whole nationalist cause. Some short-sighted people don't seem to see the merit in that, but the loss is theirs: in the meantime, I'll be working on making sure Gloucestershire takes steady steps towards the right future - a Distributist future. God bless.
