. @LhpSkillnet, one of Skillnet Ireland's 70 Business Networks, have published a new report on the challenges faced by Directors of Nursing (DONs) in Long Term Care (LTC) and what measures can be put in place to attract, retain and provide ongoing learning and development supports throughout their career.
This research which was carried out by the @RCSI_FacNurMid highlights the barriers DONs face, identifies the learning and development supports they need, and provides key recommendations for the provision of education and training for DONs to enhance their ability to fulfil their role effectively.

Skillnet Ireland has been ranked first out of 47 in a new @EU_Commission report assessing best-practice upskilling initiatives for enterprise across the EU, the United States, UK, Canada, China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India and South Africa. Skillnet's ranking was based on its overall average key performance metrics. It also topped the analysis for impact on businesses and contribution to the economy including to the digital and climate agenda. The 'Pact for Skills: Analysing of Upskilling and Reskilling Policy Initiatives and Identifying Best Practices' was conducted by @PwC.
Skillnet Ireland offers a wide range of upskilling programmes and business supports to companies of all sizes, to build competitiveness through skills.

On Friday 19th April, the Dementia Services Information & Development Centre, in conjunction with the HSE's Understand Together campaign, are holding a full day seminar entitled "Wayfinding in healthcare settings". The seminar day will be held in the Tangent space in the Trinity Business School between 09:00 – 16:00 and will feature national and international experts including architects, designers and professionals working in health settings.
