Canada’s first-ever National Food Security Strategy means more food grown, processed, moved, and sold here at home.
Backed by $3B over 10 years, it will help build more food terminals and hubs, expand Canadian processing, grow more fruits and vegetables year-round, and cut red tape slowing farmers and producers down.
For Canadians, that means more choice at the grocery store and a stronger food supply.
For agri-food workers, it means more opportunities across the supply chain: from farms, to processing plants, to shelves.
More choice, More control, More Canada.
Pleased to join the Prime Minister to announce $3.2 billion for the National Food Security Strategy.
