More & more libraries having to close due to short-staffing, years ago when there was give in the system this would rarely if ever happen but most services are below minimum staffing levels lots of staff off sick due to stress & the aftermath of covid.

People sometimes say kids don't read any more. But I'm always amazed by the excitement you see on author visits, especially #WorldBookDay. Give kids free choice of what to read, let them follow their excitement wherever it leads - and THEY STILL LOVE BOOKS!
