In our culture, this bird has never been just another night creature.
Our elders have always said: when the owl comes to your home, when it enters your compound or appears where it has no business being after dark… it is not visiting.
It is delivering a message.
A message that someone in that household must go.
Some call it superstition. Others have lived through the pattern too many times to laugh it off. The fear is ancient, heavy, and very real.
And yeah, this would not just scare me. It quietly reminds me how our ancestors read the language of nature — and how some warnings still make the blood run cold, even in 2026.
