the reason for the large number of fire engines speeding up the Kilburn High Road this evening.

Twenty-five fire engines and around 150 firefighters, along with four turntable ladders, have now been mobilised to the warehouse fire in Brent.
The fire is producing a significant amount of smoke. Local residents should keep doors and windows closed as crews respond.

A shoplifter who doesn’t speak English is being searched by police, some of whom struggle with English and seem more concerned with the guy filming.
Who, incidentally, barely speaks English.

No wonder busses are slow....Just look at Kilburn High Road with the complete lack of enforcement of parking restrictions by @Brent_Council and Camden Council, combined with @thameswater perpetually digging the road to renew the same utility covers over and over again.
We’re disappointed to see that average bus speeds have fallen again and are now at their slowest since modern records began
@TfL has a programme of measures to improve speeds safely. We need to see these making a difference for the millions of Londoners who depend on buses #Bus

On this day in 1974 Óglach Michael Gaughan passed away following his fast for repatriation to Ireland. He was brought from Parkhurst prison to Kilburn for a requiem mass as hundreds came out to pay their respects. #michaelgaughan #hungerstrike #mayo #connollyassociation
